Weekly Update | May 8, 2020

Dear Friends,
Short and to the point…Having constantly updated our timeline (on an hourly basis at times), we feel that it is not unrealistic to continue to aim for a June re-start to our show schedule. That being said, it is highly unlikely that state and local officials will allow for a June 1st reopening date for the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park at San Juan Capistrano. Anticipating that scenario and realizing that exhibitors need a month’s notice ahead of time if possible, we have no choice but to cancel our June I & June II horse shows.
Having received the latest USEF Action Plan and CDC guidelines, we are in the final stages of putting together the details of our COVID-19 protocols. It is our hope that by next Friday, we will be able to announce a tentative re-start date, along with specifics of the health protocols.
Just a few minutes ago, Governor Newsom announced the much-anticipated start of Stage 2 which we hope will be a prelude to implementation of the subsequent stage that will include horse shows.
…Fingers crossed! Have a nice weekend!
