North American League Season Winding Down
Annville, PA – August 08, 2019 – The North American League (NAL) divisions have been extremely competitive during the 2019 season and riders are giving their all to qualify for the year-end Finals before time runs out.
The NAL qualifying season runs from September 1 through August 31. NAL qualifying classes are open to all competitors, but only current members are awarded points. By joining the NAL, riders can accumulate the points necessary to qualify for the West Coast Finals held at the International Jumping Festival hosted by Blenheim EquiSports in San Juan Capistrano, CA, September 18-22 and the National Finals held at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA, October 10-19. Annual memberships are only $40 per rider.
West Coast Rankings
There has been a shake-up in standings in the West Coast Adult Hunter Division, where Sandra Bierman of Phoenix, AZ and Kalvert has taken over the lead with 3,101 points. Angela Dominguez of Argyle, TX and Lighful has moved into second with 3,082 points and Amy Coretz of Tulsa, OK and Rise Above moved into third with 2,976 points.

The leaderboard in the West Coast Children’s Hunter standings saw a major shake-up as well over the month of July. Peyten Seltzer of Rancho Santa Fe, CA and Que Crème surged into first place with 1,564 points, while Taylor Landstrom of Excelsior, MN aboard Everglade VDL moved into second with 1,142. Tessa Downey of Houston, TX and Hoopla sits in third with 1,110 points.

Molly Athey of Enid, OK and Gold Lux continue their lead in the West Coast Adult Jumper Division Presented by SmartPak with a total of 2,084 points. Tara Brown-Stocks of Trabuco Canyon, CA and High Hopes maintain second place with 1,428 points. Mollie Hartung of Sherman Oaks, CA continues to sit in third place with a total of 1,165 points aboard Drago.
In the West Coast Children’s Jumper Division Presented by EquiFit, Emma Flett of Southlake, TX and Washington hold first place with 2,760 points. Hensley Humphries of Austin, TX and Ursula D’Auge have climbed into second place with 1,933 points. John Gilpin of Keller, TX and Sampras, have moved into third place with 1,505 points.
Hallie Grimes of Houston, TX continues to be highly competitive in the West Coast Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Division Presented by HorseFlight, holding first and third place with her two mounts Quickly Stated and Ero Del Pierire, totaling 2,362 and 1,958 points respectively. Maggie Hill of Jackson, WY and Hope sits in second place with 2,170 points.

Pattie Schindler of Reisterstown, MD and Glyndon were leading the Adult Hunter Division as of the beginning of August. She is having a banner year with 4,826 points. Sandra Bierman of Phoenix, AZ and Kalvert hold second place with 3,101 points. Rounding out the top three in the division, Angela Dominguez of Argyle, TX and Lightful are in third place with 3,082 points. Bierman and Dominguez currently stand first and second in the West Coast Adult Hunter Division

The Children’s Hunter Division continues to be a flurry of tough competition as Jordan Bell of Friendship, MD and Chago lead the field with 3,467 points. Caroline Nadalin of Plain City, OH aboard Maximus L continues to maintain second place with 3,311 points. Harper Peterson of Vienna, VA has moved into third with 3,038 points aboard Greatness VDK.

Stephanie King of St. Augustine, FL and her mount Co-Starr have maintained an impressive lead in the Adult Jumper Division Presented by SmartPak with 4,599 points, a lead in which King and Co-Star have held since January. Britta Stoeckel of Chicago, IL and Jimy still hold onto second place with 4,056 points, while Alison Flury of Minooka, IL and Role Model have jumped into third with 3,587 points.

Hunter Kava of Parkland, FL and Miss Moneypenny continue to hold onto the lead in the Children’s Jumper Division Presented by EquiFit with a total of 3,571 points. Chloe Jhin of Lake Forrest, IL and Liberty maintain their second place standing with 3,356 points. Jhin also holds sixth and seventh position with Elmo V.D. Bremdhoeve with 2,682 points and Dersey with 2,457 points, respectively. In third place is St. Augustine, FL’s Caia Watridge and Kalle with 3,086 points.

The Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Division Presented by HorseFlight is by far the most competitive. Obtaining an impressive 1,331 points since June, Brianne Link of East Islip, NY and Wednesday Mornin now has a massive lead in the division with 10,114 points. Holding onto second in the standings, Kendra Gierkink of Harpswell, ME and Crack Uno have 6,642 points. Addison Piper of Ocala, FL and Bonita Z hold third place with 5,339 points.
