COVID-19 UPDATE – March 12, 2020

Mar 12, 2020 | Announcements

Blenheim EquiSports has been closely monitoring the recent updates from Governor Gavin Newsom, as well as local and federal agencies. We are still planning to hold our upcoming Spring horse shows, and we will continue to implement all recommended precautions in line with local and federal health guidelines.

We have fully prepared the facility and have added ample hand wash stations in order for people to follow protocol. We will continue our rigorous stabling disinfecting program, and will implement an around-the-clock cleaning of all restrooms and high-traffic areas during our events.

The Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park, and equestrian sport in general, being outdoors and spread over a large area, already has “social distancing” in place by its very nature. The horse show facility, being first and foremost a workplace for competitive equestrians and their support staff, is not primarily a social setting.

In that regard, and in an abundance of caution, we are currently planning to prohibit spectators from attending the horse shows. The show grounds will be closed to the outside public, and limited to exhibitors, their families and staff.

The most up-to-date information about COVID-19 is available from the  Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.

We will continue to keep our lines of communication open, and will update everyone as needed on a regular basis. We truly appreciate your cooperation and support during these trying times for our community and the world in general.
