Monseigneur, or ‘Monster’ as he is affectionately referred to, hasn’t been in California for long but he is quickly proving to be a solid partner with his rider Matt Archer. Owned by Rhys Farms, LLC, who have several talented jumpers under the training and care of Shady Lane Farm, this European redhead is not only talented but he is also strikingly handsome.

A 7-year old Belgian Warmblood gelding, Monster is looking to follow in the footsteps of his famous sire, Halifax. With Archer, he’s had success in the 7-year old Young Jumper division as well as some 1.35m/1.40m classes. Seems this dynamic duo has a bright future, at the Young  Jumper Championships and beyond.

In Monster’s Young Jumper Profile below Archer shares the personality behind the name and why he’s a #YoungJumperStar!
